Since 2002, Children's Imagination Station has served children from 4 weeks to 12 years of age throughout the community of Crawford County. Children's Imagination Station is a non-profit, state licensed child care center. Our facility has 6 main classrooms arranged by age, a common large motor area, and two fenced in outdoor play areas. All children are welcome and treated equally regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or physical/mental disability.
We are constantly striving to help children grow their decision-making and social skills by providing a stimulating learning environment that is met with warm, trustworthy, competent and responsible caregivers. Our philosophy is children learn best when they have a relationship with their caregivers. We strive to know each child individually and meet their unique needs as much as a group care setting allows.
We use a theme-based curriculum that is age appropriate and believe children learn by doing so active play with their peers is encouraged. Lesson plans and daily activities are centered around building language and listening skills, music and movement, art, sensory exploration, increasing large and fine motor abilities, and learning through indoor and outdoor play.
Keeping parents in the loop is a main goal of ours. For infants and toddlers daily take-home sheets are completed by teachers to update parents about their child’s day. Our open door policy allows parents the freedom to visit the center anytime. We also make it easy for parents to turn in their weekly contracts using our online form. Connect with us on our Facebook page where updates, activities & reminders are posted.
